장그래가 26살에 프로 바둑의 길을 포기하고 원 인터네셔널에 신입사원으로 입사하며 벌어지는 이야기이다.
1.1. Plot
인턴으로 처음 들어왔을 때는 주변인들에게 무시도 많이 받았고, 낙하산이라는 사실 때문에 오상식 과장님에게도 냉대를 받기도 했었다. 한 번은 상품에 꼴뚜기가 섞였는지 현장에 나가서 확인을 해야 했는데, 주변 인턴들의 괴롭힘으로 늦게까지 혼자 남겨져 옷을 더럽혀 가며 꼴뚜기를 찾기도 했었다.
현상혁과 PT 조를 짜게 되었는데, 현상혁이 요령을 피우긴 했지만 배울 점이 있다는 것을 인정하며 발표를 준비하였다. 장그래는 PT에서는 활약하지 못했지만, 두 번째 파트너에게 사무현장의 전투화인 슬리퍼를 팔면서 2년 계약직으로 채용된다.
장백기, 현상혁, 안영이, 장그래, 그리고 등장하지 않는 한 명이 최종 합격되었고, 장그래는 오상식 과장과 김동식 대리가 속한 영업3팀에 배치되게 된다. 장그래는 업무의 미숙, 장백기는 자존심, 안영이는 여성 차별, 현상혁은 선임의 횡포로 각각 고통을 겪었다. 이러한 갈등이 해소되어 가면서 이야기가 전개된다.
1.2. Take
흔히 겪는 고통을 주제로 사람들의 공감을 쉽게 이끌어 내는 작품이다. 거기에 바둑에 비유한 해석과 문학적 감각이 더해져 완성도가 있었다.
