1.1. Kiwi

Originated from China. It is called 獼猴桃mihoutao there. Brought to New Zealand by Mary Isabel Fraser. The common name was chinese gooseberry, but they changed the name to kiwi to emphasize the New Zealand cultivation. This measure was neccesary in order to be able to export to USA, who was in idealogical conflict with China.

2. Sweets

2.1. Toffee

English confection made by caramelizing suger or molasses along with butter, and occasionally flour.

2.1.1. Honeycomb Toffee

It's made of Brown suger and baking soda. Sponge-like textrue.

2.2. Nougat

Aerated mixture of egg protein and suger

Egg is used instead of gelatin in contrast to marshmellow, and it is hydrated compared to the meringue.

The texture differs depending on the suger being used. High concentration of sucrose make it brittle, otherwise it becomes more chewy.

2.3. Chocolate

2.3.1. Melanger

The stone-grinder used in chocolate-making

It makes the smooth chocolate paste from cocoa beans.

3. Sauce

mother sauce, or grand sauce, is the one that can be used during cooking, not only for dipping.

3.1. Mayonnaise

Emulsified oil using egg yolk, enriched with vinegar

Oil is slowly poured into egg yolk which is possibly salted, while being whipped continuously. Vinegar is added at the end.

Generally, 80 percent of the content is fat.

4. Toowoomba Pasta

The pasta is named after the Austrailian city of the same name, but the food is not originated from it.

The hot creamsauce pasta.

The sauce is used for various foods.

5. Hot Sauce

There are many variations of it.

5.1. Tabasco Sauce

Famous one is the Tabasco sauce named after the tabasco pepper that it is made out of.

The main ingredients are: tabasco pepper, vineger, salt.

제주도의 고깃집에서 보인다. 고추와 마늘을 섞어 끓인 후 고기에 푹 찍어 먹는다.
